Lost reader comment when deleting a post by mistake. Can it be restored ?

By mistake, I deleted a post. And that post had a reader's comment.

How can I restore both back ?

Looking forward to guiding lights !

Thanks in advance.

First off, this is not an Atahualpa issue, no matter what theme you use, when you delete a post, the comments go away.

From the wordpress reference
-----------------------------------
Function Reference/wp delete post
Description: Removes a post, attachment, or page.

When the post and page goes, everything that is tied to it is deleted also. This includes comments, post meta fields, and terms associated with the post.
-----------------------------------

Unless you have a backup of your wordpress database, you are out of luck.(You do backup your database now and again right??)

Depending on your ISP, they might have a backup of your site and may be able to restore it for you, but anything that has been added or changed since that backup will be gone.

Thanks JuggleDad ! I did not realize that my question was a general "blogging" one and not related to Atahualpa theme. You're right. :-( Please accept my sincere apologies.

I appreciate you still took time to answer and to point me in the right direction.

Wishing you a great day and all the very best !
