is Atahualpa XHTML and CSS compliant to W3C standards?
Dear all, I would like to know if Atahualpa is XHTML and CSS compliant to W3C standards.
My guess is not, the demo page at http://wp-themes.com/atahualpa/ returns 100 errors, and the CSS validators return 49 errors. Can anyone comment on that? Thanks for your attention! Mikii |
Yes, and more importantly, it is very browser-safe. That's what really counts.
Those error are due to the new IE pngfix javascript which is not wrapped in comment tags so W3C is snooping around in it. See http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?p=10206 to fix it, will be included in 3.4.3 The remaining errors are caused by the test posts of WP, check the other themes, they all have the same 58+ errors |
Thanks a lot Flynn, your fix works fine.
My apologies for not having fund it before posting. I think you are doing a terrific job. Not only the theme looks very nice, it also has a LOT of features. I am still getting about 30 errors with the W3C CSS validation, But I am sure it's nothing serious. Maybe you have time to have a quick look at CSS validation before releasing next version too? Thanks again! I will make a donation asap, your excellent work deserves it. Cheers, Mikii |
I will but those "errors" are due to border-radius, opacity and word-wrap, all properties that work in all browsers and will be included in CSS3. I would take W3C results with a grain of salt.

ok, thanks for pointing that out.
