How to remove sidebar from certain pages or display correctly

Thx for this theme and the support help.

I have an Events Calendar Pro plug-in that is having a conflict with the sidebar and preventing it from displaying correctly:
ie.:
http://mystrangeparadise.com/event/0...e-at-the-loft/

Is there a way to either remove the sidebar from certain pages (ie.,
if( get_post_type()!='sp_events' ){

before the sidebar? and where would this statement be entered?

Or If there's a way to end the conflict so that the main events information and sidebar and coexist in a 2-column table?

How is the events calendar plugin implemented? You can choose which pages the sidebar should not show by entering the page ID in the appropriate boxes in the Style Sidebar section of the theme options. In the link you sent it doesn't even look like a sidebar is set to show.

The sidebar is pushed down below the content, it begins with "Categories" ending with Archives and 2 icons.

The Event Calendar plug-in does not have Page IDs, so I don't believe that method will work.

Is there another method to hide the sidebar or a tag to make it appear correctly?

you can tell Atahualpa which pages not to display a sidebar on - look in the options

@juggledad are you suggesting to enter the ID of a page into "LEFT sidebar: Don't display on Pages:" under "Style & configure SIDEBARS" like the previous reader suggested or is there actually an options page with another solution?

yes that is what I said, but looking at your page, I see you used the wrong terminology which is why you got the same answer from both of us.

What you have is the calendar in a POST and you want the sidebar to not show on a single post page. While there is a setting for this, you really just want it for a post of this type.

Looking at the source of the page, the sidebar you see is coming from the plugin, not the theme.
you need to review the settings of the plugin and talk to the people that sold it. Not having it, I can't help you any further than that. Good luck

I have the inverse problem: I want to display a certain sidebar ONLY in the calendar page, but it seems that I have to put in every other page id in my site (and any I might make in the future) and say don't display on these pages. Not reasonable -- isn't there another way?

there is a post somewhere that I showed how to change the 'exclude' to 'include'

You have said it is at http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthr...nclude+sidebar, but I can't see this -- says I don't have privileges. What can I do?
