Edit the <title>-tag
 

Hi,


I'm looking for a way to edit (expand) the contents within my <title>-tag.


Currently under Theme Options - Configure SEO - Meta Title Tag format I have the setting "Page Title - Blog Title". In the General Options I have set Blog Title to "MyNiftyBlogTitle" so when looking at the source of a page it says:

<title>CurrentPageTitle - MyNiftyBlogTitle</title>


Is it possible to edit this setting to produce:

<title>CurrentPageTitle - MyNiftyBlogTitle - ExtraTextSimilarToSlogan</title>

I want the ExtraTextSimilarToSlogan to show up all over the site, so adding it on the Atahualpa Post Options at post.php won't really do it.

(And if I add the extra text to the Blog Title in the general options, the whole shebang shows up in the header area on every page.)


It's really a clarification to the <title>-tag in order to make myself and hopefully Google happy. Is it a SEO-plugin I need?

I am curious as to what you're asking at all.... I am trying to figure out how to edit the Blog Title at all! I'm hopelessly new and clueless at WordPress, and I have no idea how to even access the components you're mentioning - "theme options" and "general options."

Can any seasoned people please help us??:confused:

In the left column of the admin panel select Options. That's the general options where you set your title. It's not an Atahulalpa setting, it's "below" that.

In the same left column you'll find Themes and there Atahualpa Theme Options.

The 'BLOG Title' is set in WordPress 2.8.4 it's the WP dashboard->Settings->General->Blog Title

Atahualpa lets you use any SEO you want or the built in SEO. With the built in SEO you can have your title 'blog - page' or 'page - blog'. If you want something more you will have to edit some code. The code to play with is in bfa_meta_tags.php lines (version 3.4.4) 8->138
