Excluding categories from feed

Great theme...Atahualpa 3.2

With other less complex themes I was able to figure out what to edit in order to exclude certain categories from being published in the rss/feed. I'm wondering how to go about excluding categories with this theme...
I would use a plugin for this, but for whatever reason the ones i've tried rarely worked the way I wanted them to....

I have actualy same question about exclusion a category out of the RSS feed.
