Help! Lost Sidebar and Footer
 

This website: www.fullsunfarm.com is suddenly missing the right hand sidebar and the footer. Everyone who contributes to this site claims that no changes have been made to the site. What could have happened?

This error shows up on every page: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home6/fullsunf/public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/footer.php on line 46

None of us are particularly technical, so please walk me through this. Thanks!

What version of Atahualpa and WP?
Have you made any changes to the footer.php?
have you added in a new plugin?

What is the last change you made to the site - that is probably causing it.
try disabling all your plugins and see if it fixes it, then add them back in a couple at a time.

Well, I went into the footer.php file on the server and it looked as if some spammer or something hacked the site!

There were thousands of lines of code added at the bottom that looked like this:

I fixed the problem by going to a site where I have an unedited version of Atahualpa, I copied the code from there and pasted it into the Full Sun Farm website's footer.php file. The site is now working.

Any way I can prevent this from happening again?
