[SOLVED] Problems with image border being larger than the image?
Hi,
I have an issue where i have not changed anything but now noticed that my image borders are now larger than the image itself? I dont know why, any ideas? An example page where this occurs is below: *http://msg-meteorites.co.uk/meteorit...niversity-2014) I am using version 3.7.12 Any help much appreciated :-) Cheers Martin |
Check the media setting for that image - the image is only 640px wist, but the attachment div is showing a width of 770px

Thanks Juggledad.Forgive my ignorance but the image is 760px by 570px and is used at 100%. I dont understand how one day it was fine, no changes and the next the border is much bigger than the image itself? Any ideas?

Just checked the media settings and the image is definitely 760px by 570px and is shown at 100%. However you are right in that on the displayed webpage the image is 640px by 480px. I cant find any settings that overide my chosen image settings. Any ideas?

Can you post a screen shot of both tabs of your media settings for the latest image?

I don't think this is a theme issue. Here is a test, swap to twenty-twelve and go to that page and see what size the images are in the html
you might want to shut off all your plugins to see if one of them is adding the resize on the images... |
Tried and moving to theme twenty 12 and the iumages were 625px by 429px, Will now go through the plugins and see if one of them is resizing images. Thanks for your help.

Now sorted this, deactivated each plugin ine by one and lo and behold it was the Jetpack plugin that was causing the issue, specifically the Photon part that caches the images on wordpress.com for faster loading. Jetpack now reactivated minus the Photon part and all is working as it was. Thanks for all your help, very much appreciated :-)
