How to refresh only "Main Column" and not the entire "Main Body"?

Hi all,

When I click on a page menu item that links to the page, the entire web page is refreshed.

This is all well and good, in terms of functionality.

However, I wonder if it is possible to tweak Atahualpa so that clicking on a page menu item refreshes ONLY the "Main Column", i.e., specifically, only those elements that are nested under the tr#bodyrow tr#middle level).

The intent is to have a "smoother" user experience. I am hoping to see if there is a way to only refresh contents that "matter" (in this case, the Page), and not having to refresh the sidebars and all other peripheral elements.

Can you post a link to the site you are referring to to see this in action?
