Can't access widgets or theme options
 

Not sure what happened to my site. It went weird earlier today and looked like the html/css inserts were missing. In the back end it wouldn't let me access the theme options or the widgets, the page comes up but nothing is clickable.
So I tried backing it up from a version I had on my computer but that did'nt do anything. Reinstalled the theme but now all my stylings have gone and it wont let me change anything. Really not sure what is going on but any help would be hugely appreciated.

There are a lot of variables to come up with an answer.

• Have you tried deactivating all plugins?
• Did you make any changes to the theme files?
• What version of WordPress and Atahualpa?
• Did the host make any changes?
• If you switch to Twenty Eleven can you get to its theme options?

Just tried deactivating plugins - no joy, but have left them deactive for now
Didn't make any changes to theme files
Wordpress version 3.4.2 and Atahualpa 3.7.7 although tried to upgrade but don't think it worked
The host, as far as I know, has made no changes
Just switched to Twenty Eleven and it's theme options came up, successfully changed some, then reactivated Atahualpa and no joy!

1) Do a database backup.
2) check the error log on your host to see if there is nay info
3) do you get a message when you try to change a theme option or add a widget?
4) ask host if they have done something - reduced avaliable memory, added security, applied maintenance.

Did a backup, checked the error log and there's nothing in there and nothing comes up when I try (unsuccessfully) to add widget/change theme.
I'm waiting to hear back from the host.

The host says there is nothing wrong as far as they can see and they haven't done anything. I tried deleting the theme and doing a fresh install and still it doesn't work. aaagh

what happens when you try to make a change and hit the save button?
If you send me a PM with an admin ID/PW I'll poke around a bit tomorrow morning

The host managed to back it up to an earlier version from their database and it looks okay now except in the backend where I'm still unable to fully access the theme/widget menus. I'll check it again in the morning.
