Removing AdSense

Hi,
I put an AdSense block in my page content in the upper left, as Flinn told me in this thread.

Now I want to remove it. Sounds simple enough, but I can't find the code I put in the atahualpa/functions php anywhere??

I removed the code I put in the css/html insert.

I'll go put some money in the donation jar...thanks for any and all help.

what version of Atahualpa are you on?
What is the url?

Jerry Jan 6, 2012 04:41 PM

Sorry about that.

It's 3.2 theme

and the url: http://enaturesremedies.com/

since you are planning on upgrading (wow you are on an old release) and you made changes to the theme code, those code changes will not show in the new release.

Thanks juggledad,
I'm opting for the manual update. Could you tell me or point me to a link explaining in a step by step way of backing up the necessary files.
I go into c-panel to backup the config, ect.?
The posts and pages...use the wordpress export feature?
Also, while I'm at it, I could use the export feature to do a weekly backup of my content...right?
Thanks

When you want to backup a site, you want to make a copy of the wordpress folder and everything inside it (well you can get away with just the wp-contents folder and the wp-config.php file) and you MUST backup the database. One tool to do this is phpMyAdmin, there is an export function within it.

Ok, I made a copy of the database does that include the wordpress folder?
I also made a copy of 'all content' using the export function from tools/export in the dashboard.
Is that everything?
Also I want to do this weekly or so, is there a plugin that can be trusted to do this automatically?
Thanks

You should do a database export, using phpMyAdmin.
The content - ie images, videos, plugins, themes etc, are all in the wp-contents folder. This should be backed up,using FTP .

There are some plugins that will export and send you the database export (wp-dbmanager is one that comes to mind) and there are some that will also backup your wp-contents folder.
