Top Menu Working But "Home" is automatically highlighted, Why?

The top menu using WP Menus works fine but the "Home" menu item is always selected (hi-lited). I thought it had to do with the name "Home" so I changed it to "Top" but it didn't matter.

I just tested it out and it has to do with the Custom Menu item URL with is the blogs home page URL.

How do I add a Custom Menu item to the home blog page without it being automatically hi-lighted/selected?

Go to this url to see what I mean: http://www.selfdefensegearco.com/personal-protection/

Also, is it possible to change the "Background color" in the Menu 2 (Catagory Menu) from a fixed value (i.e. Default: 777777) to an image URL?

What I'm saying is that when you initially go to http://www.selfdefensegearco.com/personal-protection/, the "Home" item is automatically hilighted. How do initially NOT have it hilighted?

It will always be hi-lighted because it is the current page. That is the idea of having the current page hi-lighted, so the user knows what page they are on. If you remove it (which you can) then no page name in the menu will be hi-lighted when you are on that page.

Oh, OK I got it. Makes sense.

One last question:

Is it possible to change the "Background color" in the Menu 2 (Catagory Menu) from a fixed value (i.e. Default: 777777) to an image URL?
