[SOLVED] Printing problems
Hi,
My website is printing in a very narrow column. I have looked through the forums for help and tried a few things but nothing is working. Could someone please help me? This is the library website so I need to fix it asap. The web address is: http://www.saginawlibrary.org/ Thanks a ton! |
does this theread help? http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthr...light=printing
|
No I tried it and it still is broken.
|
Should I try to upgrade it? I am a little terrified of doing this because of all the comments. What is a stable update number? I am currently using 3.5.1. Thank you.
|
3.7.7 has been very stable and you can make the jump directly
do a database backup first and I'd suggest doing a manual install - read this thread HOWTO: upgrade Atahualpa to a new version |
Hi Again,
I did try to upgrade to 3.7.7 and followed the upgrade manual instructions to the letter. The problem follows me. Grrrr....I wish I could figure this out. Any other ideas? Thank you! I put the theme back to its previous state since upgrading didn't help. Here is a link again http://www.saginawlibrary.org |
if you upgraded and it didn't fix the problem, but created no other problems, whywould you revert backt to the old version? If there turns out to be an issue, I'll only create a patch for the latest version...
what happens if you disable the plugin that is creating the header image? |
It did create a few more problems which I didn't want to deal with at the same time. For instance, I had separate templates for a few post pages and it blew away the titles of the posts. I still want to go back to 3.7.7 because it has extra features but I can't leave the site unworkable. I will get back on it tomorrow morning.

Sorry, I don't understand how to disable the plugin for the header image. Can you tell me how and I will try?
|
Ahh I see if is actually part of the page - the image rotater. Try removing that and see what happens
but for me to help you much more, I would have to see the site in 3.7.7 - 3.5.1 is just too far back to help you with. |
Hi Juggledad,
I have it in 3.7.7 now. I also have the newest Wordpress version. It appears to be working okay in IE but not Firefox or Chrome. Let me know what you find. Thanks so much. Brenda :) |

Hi, I was looking through the forums and found one that sounds exactly what is happening. The only problem is the fixes are in there already and it didn't help. It is printing in IE but not Chrome or Firefox. I am attaching a file of a screenshot from Chrome. Here is the post I was talking about:
Old Sep 13, 2011, 03:39 PM I did disable wp-print and enabled it as well. Thank you. Brenda |
Is anyone else having this problem?
|
it seems to be working fine in safari, firefox and chrome on the MAC
|
Shoot that means it is a Microsoft Windows problem right? Any advice?
|
Sorry, I was looking at those links in the previous post and didn't realize they were not your site (I look at too many htreads to keep track)
Go to ato->export/import settings and export your settings and attach them to a reply |

Here you go. Thank you so much!

ok, the cause is the left inner sidebar - for a temporary fix, remove it from all pages.
I will see what I can do to get it to work with the sidebar. |
try this, edit css.php and change line 2040-2041 from
HTML Code:
.colone, HTML Code:
.colone, |
That helped! Thank you!!!!! :)
