[SOLVED] Pages won't center, nor will Layout Width change anything

Weird behavior that I'm not used to.
I changed the Layout Width to a fixed value (1200 px)
I put in a 1200 px wide header image
I set Front page displays static Home Page.
The Home page is justified all the way to the left, instead of aligning with the left edge of the header image. This didn't happen to me on another website I designed...
I've got 3.6.4
and Wordpress version 3.0.5

get rid of the space between the '1200' and the 'px' (don't you just hate syntax errors)

SORRY nevermind. You can't have a space in between the width and the "px" - stupid on my part.
