Main Page Body Text Formatting

Another newbie question....

I can't seem to be able to format the posts displaying on the main (home) and individual post pages. The body is always within a white box (which the background changes to light grey when I hover over it). Where is the setting?

PS My posts look good on category and tag homepagepages!
