Congrats on a great design job!

Thanks! I'm glad someone else thinks the color is nice other than me. I can look at pink all day and never get tired of it.

Great Job! I like them all!
Nice gallery player on ellephotography.com

Hmmm ... I'll have to check that out, been "scared" to use new widget areas ... and haven't had a lot of free time.

I made some changes since last time. Let me know what you think!

Cool to have different headers on different pages.
Have you put your plugin on WordPress repository?
It's not there yet, we are still making it perfect ;) I will let you know in this topic when it is online for download! :)

I've been tweaking this site now for just under a year, and I think it's finally starting to take shape. The ability to customize this theme is limitless, and I absolutely love it. Let me know what you think!

It so great to be here, thanks a lot.

I have done two sites with this theme. My site is www.GlobalNerds.com and another is www.LifeOnTilt.com

Check them out, critique is welcome!

DesignFlute Apr 11, 2010 09:44 AM

Very nice! Can you tell me what you used for your quote request page?

Wow! Really nice!

Here is my second site with Atahualpa. (RandomActsOfParenting) It is quite a deviation from my first attempt. I am hoping that this will actually go somewhere. Assuming it does, Atahualpa is at the the top of my list for donations. The flexibility in the theme is simply amazing! Thanks!!

cpalmer03 Apr 14, 2010 02:07 PM

Sports Fans: Been doing some editing and work on the site: www.themulliganshow.com ...might as well vote on the poll question while you are there :)

It's a very nice design, but since the header is in Flash, there's no header at all with devices that don't support Flash.

I'm not too familiar with Flash, but can you put a static image for viewers with no Flash?

Ber|Art Apr 15, 2010 09:16 AM

Very nice site! :)

Many of the page links for me just show the introduction post.

Hi Jeff and/or Cole,

I noticed that your Contact Us page just has an email.

There's this great plugin called Easy Contact by Scott Allan Wallick which let's you put a shortcode on a page to create a contact form. I linked the text above to the plugin's page.

The shortcode is
Code:

[easy-contact]
, just paste it into the page you want the form to appear on. If you don't put it into the HTML insertion window, then sometimes it gets wrapped in code brackets so make sure you remove those on the HTML side to get it working.

Thanks for the "show off" thread. This is my first attempt at using WordPress as a CMS and for site design: http://PoetrySuperHighway.com/

Any feedback would, of course, be appreciated.

Thanks for Atahualpa!

Rick

Here's a couple I've done, one a site, and one a blog for a site:

Thanks for the great theme!

showcaseyoursite Apr 20, 2010 07:45 PM

I really love this theme, I was able to tweak it to get my first ever site up and running with my limited coding knowledge. Check out ShowcaseYourSite.com and let me know if you guys like it! Thx.

Also, I have been browsing around some of the sites you guys have posted up here, very impressive! :D

I like it. Simple and direct.
Nice fixed social buttons too.

Great job. :-)

Cheers,
Chase.

suzrocks Apr 21, 2010 08:07 AM

So I've made some change- albeit somewhat minor ones. Curious if anyone has advice for me? What do you think of the overall layout?

Thanks!

lmilesw Apr 21, 2010 08:18 AM

I like the clean look. I would set a fixed width so that it doesn't look like this screenshot from my PC. I would also use a photo gallery plugin to show the pix side by side and open in a modal window. NextGen Gallery works nice for that.

suzrocks Apr 21, 2010 08:42 AM

So I changed it to a fixed width- I didn't even know it was doing that. Thanks for letting me know- is it better on your screen now?

As for the next gen gallery plugin- are you referring to just the most recent post with pictures- or something else?

I had to go google 'modal window' (Yes, I'm that computer illiterate)- I think I will have to work on that later as it is bound to take me awhile. After I take my final exams.

Thanks for the help!

lmilesw Apr 21, 2010 09:13 AM

Looks good now. With regards to the pictures yes I was referring to the latest post. If you use a gallery plugin you could have several pictures showing like on the bottom of this page.

suzrocks Apr 21, 2010 09:23 AM

oh okay- thanks for that suggestion- didn't know I could do that.

showcaseyoursite Apr 21, 2010 11:51 PM

Thanks for the encouragement ChaseMann! You are the first person outside of my family or friends that have made a comment about it. :P

I really love this theme a lot ... I have people asking me to design them up sites now. hehe.

Has your buddy given you any of his client's feedback on the site yet?

Great update Paulae ... it does open it up.

I keep trying other themes with other websites, but I always get frustrated and come back to Atahualpa ... I think they call that an "addiction" don't they? :p

I've started using Atahualpa since the beginning of the year. I switched from blogspot to wordpress and tried a lot of themes before settling on Atahualpa. I have so much fun tweaking it around and have learned a lot of things along the way.

I still make a few changes once in a while but for now I'm quite satisfied with how my site looks. The greatest theme!

Here's my site: http://verypurpleperson.com/ :)

My site is not as purple as the name, it's my internet id actually.
I find purple a bit difficult colour to be incorporated into any design.
So your link gives me a lot of ideas. Thanks!

Thanks very much pinkaboo, I think it was Edwardian Script.

New to blogging as of September. Started with blogger until I found Atahualpa. Still learning but was amazed at how easy it was to create my site: www.economicnoise.com Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

tinroofrusted May 12, 2010 07:03 AM

Atahualpa is a perfect theme for our homeowners' association website. Have a look at it: turtleridgehoa.net.
