[SOLVED] Which files need to be replaced when Updating WP?

Perhaps this question doesn't belong in this forum but I
searched the internet and couldn't find an answer. Knowing the
good people here I thought someone could probably help me.:)

On the latest WP update, 2.8.4, what files need to be updated?

A lot of times the automatic update fails. I feel I'm wasting a lot of time
FTP'ing all the files to WP when I'm sure there are probably just a few files
which need to be updated.

Anyone?

Thx!

I replace everything but the 'wp-content' folder and wp-config.php and any other folder that a plugin may have created in the wordpress root (bad plugin behavior)
