WP eCommerce problem with latest atahualpa
 

Hi all,

I have been an atahualpa user for a while now, do love the flexibility yet control of the theme. I was asked to do an e-commerce site for a client and instantly picked your theme for the look. I used the WP eCommerce plugin as it was the only plugin that could give my client what it wanted for the least amount of money. This however was back in the day when the plugin worked with the atahualpa theme (I say 'worked', it was still a nightmare to set up, but it got there). So the site was all up and running, people were buying stuff, jobs a good'un and all that.

But last week I was asked to move the site to a new server, and as wordpress needed to be updated due to the fresh install, I took the opportunity to update theme and plugin itself. I was under the impression the shop was working, I could see the products on the shop, they were displaying in the grid view as they had been set to. But I noticed that there was an error at the bottom of the page. I went into the admin section of the WP eCommerce plugin and made a couple of (small) changes, and BOOM, the error replaced all the products. now the shop is broke.

The error is:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Query::have_pages() in /www/sites/975/e8a/www.thefunnyfarm.com/web/wp-content/themes/atahualpa-ny/wpsc-grid_view.php on line 177

Some products do seem to be displaying, but are the same products, no matter if it should be a different category of products. Some categories are displaying like they are normal posts (as in wordpress posts)

I have tried turning off all other plugins to no avail. I tried deleting the shop (which originally also had the weight and destinations shop plugin; add to wishlist shop plugin; smartmanager) plugins and reinstalling via ftping the latest files into the plugins folder, but nothing has happened.

I have had a look through the forums and done searches. Nothing has seemed to work so far. has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

My set up is:

using custom permalinks which goes /%category%/%post-name%/

Wordpress version: 3.3.1

Wordpress eCommerce: 3.8.7.6.2

latest gold cart files.

I have posted on the getshopped forums for their help but I think that is as hopeful as a money growing on trees and no one has even posted on it for almost a week. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

The file wpsc-grid_view.php is not part of Atahualpa. Where did you get it?

Hi juggle dad, I believe it is there option where you can move the theme files in WP eCommerce to your theme's folder so that you can modify them. I have tried a fresh reinstall and it appears to still not work, but thinking about it, it was the same error, so how could that happen?

I know it's hard for you guys as you may not necessarily know how the plug in works. I have posted on the getshopped forums with this error, but they are pretty slow to reply. You, by the way are amazing.

Oh, and do you actually juggle?

I just downloaded the plugin (version 3.8.7.6.2) and when I look at the file wpsc-grid_view.php it only has 176 lines, so I would check a fresh copy with what you have installed and see what is different.

And yes I do juggle and made my kids and their friends learn how. At one point 6 could juggle clubs and pass them!

Sweet, I can juggle 4 balls, also juggle devil sticks... Haven't got the hang of clubs yet.

OK, will check the file. But I did try a fresh install. Will report back tomorrow!

I don't know if this helps, but the wpsc-grid_view.php is part of the WP e-commerce plugin. You can find it under /wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-theme

I also have a bug to report with WP e-commerce and Atahualpa. I am using Atahualpa 3.7.7 (latest version to date) but in the products page, the product information is repeated.

It seems that Atahualpa single post page and wpsc-single_product.php (which is the single product page for WP e-commerce) overlap.

Can you assist?
