[SOLVED] New favicon not showing up
I created a 16x16 px favicon (.ico) in GIMP and uploaded it to the proper file on the server. Then I entered the name in the Favicon section of Atahualpa and saved. My favicon isn't showing up. I tried one of the premade favicons and it doesn't show up either. My site is: HomeschoolWithLove.com
Thanks.:) |
where did you put the image?
go to ato->new image Location and press the 'Save Changes' button remember when you are doing development or making theme changes, you should shut off your caching plugin and empty the caches |
The image is in:
wp-content > themes > atahualpa > images > favicon I tried the "Save Changes" trick and it didn't work. I cleared my cache and cookies and reopened the browser but it still isn't there. I don't have a caching plugin that I know of. |
at the bottom of teh source oy your page I see
HTML Code:
<!-- This Quick Cache file was built for ( www.homeschoolwithlove.com/ ) in 1.75812 seconds, on May 21st, 2013 at 12:20 am UTC. --> |
A few days ago, Quick Cache was preventing me from logging in. My web host provider disabled my plugins so that I could get in. He said that the cache plugin was causing the issue. I deactivated and deleted Quick Cache at that time. Could it still be causing me problems even if it is deleted?

can't tell you, I've never used it but it looks like it has left some part of itself around, maybe in teh htaccess file.

Thanks. I posted this issue under the support section of the Quick Cache plugin on wordpress.org. Hopefully someone in that forum will have an answer for me.

The favicon seems to be working now for some odd reason. Thanks for your help.
