[SOLVED] Spliting post in two vertical columns?

I would like to split my posts in two vertical columns, so that my text in the posts are read like a newspaper with narrow columns, instead of one wide column. Is there a way to do this? And is there a way to create a template that I can use for all my posts that will allow the right column to contain nothing but an image?

This is how it looks now:

Thanks

I have done this on my blog with tables in the post. I'm not sure its a good way of doing it? But i have used it for several years now. With table width set to 100% instead of pixels. It scales to dynamic page width also. But images does not scale

Hi
Take a look here;

This 'columnar' post is achieved using the WP Post Columns plug-in.
It's a bit tricky to get the hang of it but worth it...
