What kind of problems are they having? It's showing up aligned correctly and looking pretty uniform for me in FF and IE8.

juggledad Nov 4, 2009 04:41 AM

looks fine in Safari. Girl_Genius is right, if you have a problem you have to be more specific. No-one but you knows what it should look like, so how could anyone else know if something is wrong or that is the way you wanted it to be?

Thanks for your answers.

e.g. on the right sidebar the newsletter form.

The fields should be different in the width and I don't know how I can style it a little bit better as it is now.

How are the h2-text? Not to big for the website? Sometimes they need two lines and not one.

paulae Nov 4, 2009 06:47 AM

The newsletter fields look good. They are the same width. Why do you want them different widths?

I think the H2 headlines are OK, but maybe H3 would look better.

hdwolle Nov 4, 2009 06:58 AM

Sorry I have written it wrong.

Somebody have say me, that the newsletter fields look different in the width in some browsers. But I think this person are wrong because here are now more people who say that it's right and ok.

Thanks for the tip. I will test it with h3.

And I will thanks all who written here. It's very good to hear that the homepage is ok. Especially, when it is make from a beginner in CSS;HTML and so on...

remember is could be a issue with the monitor settings the user is using. ie, if I use a monitor set at 1680x1050 I have plenty of space to look at a page, but if the monitor is 800x600 things could get squished. Find out what their settings are.

hdwolle Nov 4, 2009 11:34 AM

It's the monitor setting which let the website show in little different ways.

The change from h2 to h3 will I do in the next few hours.

But another problem, my external JS is too high (ca. 211 KB) because of some plugins.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to make it thinner?

Sorry about my English :)

paulae Nov 4, 2009 11:38 AM

Your English is just fine!

I just installed PHP Speedy. It minifies JS and CSS. I think it has speeded up my sites a bit.

hdwolle Nov 4, 2009 12:26 PM

Thanks.

Which configuration is the best to use by this plugin?

bushtool Nov 4, 2009 06:26 PM

I installed website optimizer (the free version)
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/web-optimizer/

and noticed a considerable speed up. It minifies, compresses, caches, etc.

PHP Speedy caused plugin conflicts with javascript but this plugin did not.

hdwolle Nov 5, 2009 09:10 AM

@bushtool

I have install the plugin and my website was "damaged" totally.

What I have to configurate in this plugin that it is ok?

paulae Nov 5, 2009 10:28 AM

That plugin ruined my formatting, so I just deactivated and then deleted it. I'm sure there are ways to deal with it, but life is too short, and the WP-Cache plugin is good enough.

hdwolle Nov 8, 2009 11:56 AM

Hello,

how I have to configure php speedy that it is correct?

I don't really know how it works, I hope someone can help me.

Update:

Also WP Super Cache, I need tips to configure it, too.

Update 2:

When I'm looking at the queries and loading time of the site, then I'm very shocking.

132 queries and 10,937 seconds. Very much and long time.

How can I male it better?
