[SOLVED] Text alignment in posts

The text on the home page is too close to the left hand side and I cannot see how to move it out, so that it would be easier to read.

I would be grateful for any suggestions

This is my site ...

several things you could do
- add right padding or margin to the left sidebar
- add right padding or margin to the dcenter area
- add padding or a margin to the post/page container

all of these can be done thru the theme options

Thanks for the advice

I tried adding borders to the text container and it had no effect.
I then put a white border to the right of the left column and I think it looks fine. Am still trying to figure out how to do it within the text area but what I have will do for the moment.

Did you try padding or margins as suggested?

Hello

I have tried several areas to no effect
I have been pasting this into the section for margin margin: 5px 0 10px 0; (this was copied from another area)

I am working in Style Posts & Pages
Body Box

This is what is already in it font-size:14px;}
If I make changes here to the font size it works correctly but the margin setting does not work.
Hope this may help in getting to the solution.

that says "put a 5px margin on the top, a 0px margin on the right, a 10px margin on the bottom and a 0px margin on the left.

you might want to take a CSS tutorial - try http://htmldog.com/guides/css/
