Question about Splash pages

Its fairly easy to create a splash page but I don't know the proper code to modify it...Im trying to have two hyperlink images side by side on my page with a centered horizontal orientation that links two to different sites.

create a list with two links and the image is in the link. Then float one right and the other left.
