Pointing to a category from ther page menu bar causes a misalignment

I put this in the header of an empty page and modified the page menu to point to this page which in turn points to a category (the url being the url of the blog category)

<a href="YOUR BLOG URL">Home </a>

this works perfectly, except that the page name in the page menu comes out larger than the rest and causes a misalignment of sorts...

wonder what this can be attributed to? there s some discussion of this in the wordpress forums

They're discussing another theme. I'd need to see this in action, on Atahualpa

i implemented this on my test website using atahualpa

www.champvermont.com/wordpress

look at the dropdown for "category 1"... you will notice extra spacing for category2a at the top

thanks

The link is there 3 times

<li><a title="" href="http://www.champvermont.com/wordpress/category-1/category-2/" dtttitle="<a href="http://www.champvermont.com/wordpress/category/test-category-2/">Category 2a</a>"/>

<a href="http://www.champvermont.com/wordpress/category/test-category-2/">Category 2a</a>

</li>

Post what you edited in the menu bar please (your PHP/HTML edits which I cannot see from the outside)

i did not touch the php html areas--only put the following in the header field of the page, leaving the body empty:

<a href="http://www.champvermont.com/wordpress/category/test-category-2/">Category 2a</a>

hope i did not misinterpret your question or did i miss something?

I did not understand this:

"...put the following in the header field of the page, leaving the body empty..."

Where exactly did you put the code ("header field of the page") ?

since your page menu items point to pages, not categories--what i did was use a page to point to a category so i can use the page menu to bring up categories...

the code i just showed above is put into a page header (title) and then published (the body is empty)--it works by bringing up the category after clicking on the page menu that points to the category--the issue i have is that the display of the category box is a bit misaligned as u can see

Here's a thread discussing all kinds of page/category menu bar additions and how to mix both. I suggest that you scan the whole thread first before applying anything
