wp-custom-fields-search Results Not displaying Byline/Footer
 

Hello Gents (& Lady),
We have used your amazing theme to create beautiful bylines & footers in "Edit Post Info Items", which is great and we are very happy with it. The standard search form returns these bylines & footers all good.

However, as you probably know, the wp search is limited, so we have installed the plugin "wp-custom-fields-search" by Don Benjamin, to enable searching through custom fields. Unfortunately, the current search results show only the excerpt, with no bylines & footers. Don says to put a search.php file in the theme directory, which we did (copied from your search-fromIndex.php). The results are the same.

You have an option "Posts or excerpts on SEARCH RESULT pages?" and this affects the standard wp search ok, but is it somehow overwriting the results of the above plugin ? (Changing it makes no difference to Don's plugin results; it only changes the standard wp search).

So to cut a long story short, the plugin is not passing the post count, etc to the search.php & maybe bfa_get_options.php?

Can you put us on the right track?
