Padding for blockquotes in inner side-bar

I have been battling the whole day now to fix the quote that a testimonials widget posts on the front page of my site. The quote box is too narrow. It doesn't matter what padding I change it just doesn't budge. I have investigated all the theme options and changed them but none work.
I also looked at the source but there is too much for me to understand.
I am new to this and I really need help. I love the theme and would like to get to know how to use it more.
My site is http://wisemanconcept.com
Please can you look and tell me where I am going wrong. Widget or theme?

what do you mean by the quote box? what text on your site is the quote you are talking about?

Hi there,
If you look at the home page you will see the testimonial excerpt in the inner right sidebar. It is too narrow.

You have to adjust the margin and padding for the widget blockquote selector.

What is the plugin you are using and where did you put styling for it?

You guys must forgive me. I am still learning.
This theme is a lot for me to get used to.
Where the heck do I find the widget blockquote selector? In the theme or in the widget?
I am using WP-Testimonials by Jodi Diehl. I have written her but don't get a reply.
Perhaps you can recommend a plugin that works better with this theme with a similar feature?

Perhaps you can advise me. What is the best plugin to use with this theme for FAQs and Testimonials? I'll use those instead. The site doesn't look go. the type sizes aren't great. I am resetting to original settings and will see what happens.

The widget blockquote selector is what you need to use to apply CSS to the widget. In this particular case the following code should be a good start. You put it in the CSS Inserts box in the theme options. The margin gets rid of the wide side space and the padding adds some space around the text. I used Firebug with Firefox to figure this out.
HTML Code:

#sfstest-sidebar blockquote {
    padding: 0 10px !important;
    margin: 0px;
}

Gosh that did work! How on earth would I have known. I did put parameters there before and they didn't work. It wasn't the same as what you've just given me.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help.

I didn't just "know" the answer. I used the necessary tools to determine the answer. The best advice I can give is to get to know how to use Firebug.
