Newbie Question: Page titles
I am new. I am using WordPress 2.9.2.
The theme is Atahualpa 3.5.1. The site is mostly static content (text and pictures) for a friend's sorority website. There are several pages (home, history, philanthropy etc.). Each page has a page title. I don't want the page title to show up between the header and the page body. If I change the page title in WordPress to blank nothing shows up but then the page is listed in WordPress as untitled (which makes it hard to remember which page is which in the WordPress editor. There must be a control to hide the page title but I can't find it. Can anyone help me? thanks, bruce |
If you turn on Use Post/Page Option in ATO>Configure SEO you will then have an option on each post or page to not show the title.

Larry,
I wish to do the same but in version 3.4.9 , I saw no "turn on post/page option" SEO config area - please advise. |
You will have to upgrade. That feature is not available in 3.4.9. Here are some pretty complete instruction on upgrading. I would suggest the manual method. Here is a link where you can download Atahualpa 3.5.3

I went to ATO -> Configure SEO and selected Yes to the Use Post / Page Options?
I then went to the static home page and selected the box where it says: Check to NOT display the Body Title on Single Post or Static Pages Yet the page title still appears on the static front page. This page is designated as a static front page in the Reading Options. Please advise. |
