[SOLVED] Problems updating from 3.4.4 to 3.6

I'm trying to update an installation of Atahualpa from 3.4.4 to 3.6 at www.electiongame.co.uk (running WP 3.0.4). I've done all the things in the "HOW TO" section of this site (manual update) but whenever I switch to 3.6 all the styling falls to pieces and I have a text based site. I read in other threads about exporting settings but I can't find anywhere to do that.

Any advice gratefully received.

go to the ato->export/import settings and press the 'delete bfa4' button at the bottom of the screen
also apply the fix in http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=12032
