[SOLVED] Need help with the header image size

Hello to all the experts out there,

I installed WP yesterday (so I am an absolute newbie) and actually I am fighting with the header image size. :confused:
I set the layout width to 960px and the header image height to 250. The images are exactly the same size
Header Image: Alignment = top center
Logo area styling height 300px
What else do you need to know?

I thought the grey bars will move downwards but the donī t. (Anyway I would like to get rid of them but I found other people asking the same so I will look for it later)
As I do not know how to explain in English how it looks like please have look here
www.time2dive.info/T2DN
I would like them to be centred and complete ;)

Can anybody help me?

Many thanks in advance
Heidi

PS: when explaining please remember I have no idea (until now...) about WP and Atahualpa and English is not my native language.

Thanks for the quick reply Juggledad.

I went to this thread before but do not find the solution for my problem.
I got rid of the grey bars now, but the main problem are the header images. The are shown but not the size I want them to be.
Layout witdt 960px - image 960px
Why are they cut on the right side?

You are using an already customized set of settings that is installed as a default
go to
ato->Style & edit HEADER AREA->Configure Header Area and find the lines
HTML Code:

<!-- To remove the ad altogether, start removing here... -->
<div style="position:absolute;top:20px;right:20px;width:728px;height:90px;background:#ddd;">
<!-- Put the ad code BELOW this (and remove the sample text if there is any) -->
%image
<!-- Put the ad code ABOVE this -->
</div>
<!-- End removing the ad here -->

and change it to
HTML Code:

%image

BTW you have one image - Marsa-Alam-2010-25042010_IMG_2017.jpg - that is 1200 X 250 while the others are 960 x 250
