Cincopa slideshows on Internet Explorer
 

Hi all, I've Atahualpa 3.4.9 installed on Wordpress 2.9.1 and I've installed Cincopa plugin. Unfortunately, as you can see on www.ioamolitalia.com, using Internet Explorer the slideshows often appear not correctly (for example the transparent carusel is already opened and it's impossible to close it). Could anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

Have you checked on the Cincopa forums?

Yes, I saw Cincopa forum and I asked to their support, but they don't know why. This is the first time I have this kind of problem: for the other themes this doesn't happen.

Do the slide shows work if you use the TwentyTen theme?

I have the same problem and it doesn't work in the Twenty Ten theme either. My site is: kathyirelanddesignsurfaces.com. I'm experiencing issues with all my cincopa galleries. I'm still looking through all the forums trying to find an answer, but for now am hoping that someone can help in some way. Thanks!

What is the specific problem. Other than the image not being the full width of the gray area all looks OK.

So I have been troubleshooting the heck out of this problem and from what I can tell there seems to be two issues. One is that a couple of the skins in Cincopa are not working with IE . So temporarily I've changed them so that I have something functioning for now and am waiting to hear back from Cincopa on this issue. The other relates to one of the skins in Cincopa that is supposed to display the photos in a static (non-animated gallery). I have these galleries inside blockquotes and they are quite fickle. One minute they are there, the next they are not. All I can figure out is has some relation to the font size, because purely by accident I decreased the font size and then the galleries showed up again. I have no clue how in the world that had any relation, but for now, I'm just grateful I have something functioning, though it is being held together by string and paperclips. :p

If the same issue happens in the Twenty-ten theme, then it's not a theme issue, it is a plugin issue. You need to hammer on the developer of the plugin.
