My header image disappears

I'm new to blogging and to php but I'm somehow crawling around with a certain amount of success. I've created a site and it seems to be working great except that the image I've placed in the header appears and disappears. There is only one image in the appropriate folder and the rotation is set to 0 but it seems reluctant to load reliably so sometimes the pages appears with a big blank space where it should go. I've set the page size and the image header area size to the appropriate width as far as I can tell. I'm doing these edits directly in the BFA_theme_options.php file. The site url is www.renewsouth.net.

I'm not sure if its related to what page I'm on or just the whims of the browser as I just checked again and it was there on everything but the archives page (using the category dropdown.) Am I crazy or just impatient?

looks like you may have a hidden file in the directory. Here is the 'blank' image 'http://www.renewsouth.net/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/._renew_banner.jpg'
the '.' at the beginning of the file says it is hidden so a list of the directory will not show it unless you are viewing hidden files. You need to delete that file and any other hidden files in the images/header folder
