code showing instead of images
 

I am not sure what I have set incorrectly.
On this site http://ovccwv.org/blog/ if you click on the author's name (Angie Albright) under the post titled SPRING HAS SPRUNG you are taken to the post but the images are not there, just the code. If you click on the title of the post the images show up. What have I done wrong?

You have the posts showing excerpts which don't play nice with shortcodes. I had to set all the excerpt settings to show full posts on one of my sites. I'm not sure if there is a way to make excerpts show shortcodes.

The best way to deal with this is to hand craft your excerpts in the 'edit->post' area

the default way that Wordpress generates excerpts is to strip all html out of the post. Atahualpa follows this default, but allows you to indicate what html to leave in as part of the excerpt so it will be processed. It can get very messy depending - do you count the words in the html as part of the excerpt count or not? Shortcodes are not html, but they generate html and when does the shortcode get expanded, before or after the excerpt is created?

So my feeling is that you manually create an excerpt in the situation where you want a image as part of it. go to dashboard->posts->edit->postinquestion->excerpt and put in what you want including the html for the image.
