Site looks bad in Internet Explorer

I have only ever looked at my site in chrome and firefox.

Today I saw what it looked like in internet explorer and was surprised how bad it looked.

Why is there so much space between sentences?
Why does all the text look like it's bold?

How do I fix this?

Thanks

I'm looking at it in Firefox and Safari on a Mac, and the text is very large, and mostly bold. You can change the fonts, sizes, colors, etc. in the theme options.

Hi thanks for the reply!

It doesn't appear bold on chrome or on firefox on my computer.

And I haven't made the writing bold. It's all regular size and well set out.

Can you think of why there's such huge gaps between sentences, especially at the beginning of the page...

Well, look at the source code:
Code:

Hi!

That's really odd, because on my wordpress, the html looks totally different. None of those <p>s

How can that be?

How do I get rid of all those <p>s if I can't seem them on my wordpress html?

juggledad Oct 16, 2009 05:27 AM

Conf, Paulae is looking at the generated source - Ie view the page in Firefox, then select the FIREFOX option 'View Source'

Do you by any chance type your content in WORD then copy and paste it? This alwaays causes issues.
Do you use the Wordpress visual editor or the HTML editor?

Conf Oct 17, 2009 10:29 AM

Hi

No I didnt copy straight from word.

The strangest thing has happened. All the gaps have suddenly vanished! And I didn't do anything! Very strange....

Now it all looks a bit crushed together, but at least better than it used to.

If I put <p> and <br>s to make it less crushed out, will it cause it to make huge gaps on internet explorer again?

Conf Oct 17, 2009 10:29 AM

Oh, and I use html editor not visual

I think I'd need to see the backend and look at the post to see what is happening. If you want to let me send me a PM with an ID and password
