author page redirecting to home page
 

hello,

I am trying to setup author page something like http ://site.com/author/xyz

but that link is getting redirected to home page.ATA dosent have author.php theme file..is this the problem?

The link is there below the post in a post.For example look this article and you will see the link in the authors bio box.

is that from a plugin? when I click on the 'view all posts' I see a bunch of posts from that author.

Yes that bio box is from a plugin here.

The problem is a separate author profile is not created like http://shrewdgeek.com/author/shadowx.When you click this link the homepage opens.

Also there is plugin called authorsure.Check it here,they have given a tutorial for atahualpa.There you can see in the screenshot there is a separate author page.

Hope now its more clear.Or tell me i will try to explain again.

Ohkey To explain in a more better way look at this article and also this article by another user.
By clicking " View All post by --- " the link is getting redirected to the home page instead of showing all posts by the author.

Also did you check the authorsure plugin ?
