Upgrading from WP 2.4 to 2.8, and ATA?

A friend has a site using 2.4 and wants to start using ATA 3.3.3, and I'm thinking she should first upgrade to WP 2.8 and then install the theme. Any problems doing that, do you think?

The only issue might be widgets that don't yet work with 2.8 and be aware that as of 3.2 there is code that uses conditional tags that were added in WP 2.5, so if they try to use 333 in 2.4 they will have problems.

Good point about the widgets. I'm not rushing to move to 2.8 for any of my sites for that reason. I'll wait and see if the most important widgets I'm using have been upgraded.

I don't know if her site uses any widgets at all. I'll find out before advising her. Thanks!
