Centering Title and tagline

I know this has been covered, and I've tried all the suggestions I've found, but I cannot manage to center the title and tagline.

First of all, I am a FraNuGy to Wordpress (Freaking new guy), although I have worked with CSS files in Movabletype.

Here's what I want to do....
The Logo is good on the left and the search bar is good on the right.
I want to center the title and tagline between the two on my header
I want to center the post titles for each post.

Please feel free to assume the following:
I AM A MORON!
I need little words and very explicit instructions, like
Put this: blah blah blah
between HERE and HERE
in THIS FILE

TIA
Phill

For centering the Title/tagline, At ATO -> Header Image -> Overlayed Blog Title/Tagline Style, you will notice the description tells you how to center the title

(ATO = Atahualpa Theme Options)

The Post title is styled in the 'Post/Page Styling' tab, 'HEADLINE Box: Text'. You can use the same centering technique as above.
