Customizing tag archive page

I have a handful of questions regarding this.

Is it possible to make results appear in two columns?

And another issue pops up with the limited results are showing, depending on how many posts I've decided to show in homepage (I guess), and I would like to make them fewer and to list them on pages like 1,2,3 as for right now they show only in one page and doesn't say there is more.

EDIT
To answer my own questions, for possible future readers:

Numbered pages navigation bellow multiple post pages (like archives, blog homepage, etc) is called pagination and it is good to use plugin called WP pagenavi which can be then customized in ATO.

Regarding different number of posts displayed in different multi-post pages, there is another great plugin - cbnet Different Posts Per Page.

For two columns you can do a forum search. There is also some info in the Gold forum. As for showing fewer posts on front page look at the WordPress setting and the Atahualpa excerpts settings.

OK, I'll search then....

The closest I found are those, but both are outdated:

Where is archives loop exactly? I read it somewhere and can't find anymore.

I'm sure what you mean by the Archives loop but check the Gold Forum.

I mean, where is archive.php in Atahualpa files?

lmilesw Feb 19, 2011 08:57 PM

I just looked further into the links you posted and that particular post is from 2008 and refers to a previous version of Atahualpa.

Yes, both are outdated. I haven't found anything newer.
And also there is no separated archive.php anymore, and it must be somewhere, but where?

What do you want to use archive.php for? You can create an archives page in the theme options.

I need it to try to create more loops. I have already made archive.php and followed instructions from bellow thread, but nothing has changed. Is it possible that it is outdated, too?

Also, I don't want to have a static page with archives displayed on it, but I want to change appearance of dynamic ones.
