Disqus and pingbacks

Let me see if I can explain what I am trying to do.

I have Disqus installed on my blog. Everything seems to be working fine, except it does not show pingbacks. I have implemented the fix I found on another theme and it works fine. This is the fix.

When I do the same on Atahualpa, I am at a loss as to where to insert the code that is supposed to go in single.php.

For what it's worth, if I reload the page, the pingbacks show up for a split second, I think before Disqus loads.

I would appreciate any help you can give.

well the 'comments_template(); ' code is on line 253 of bfa_post_parts.php (version 3.7.12) so you could try it there

In that article there is a link to a plugin that is supposed to take care of this issue. Did you try that.

That's where I tried first. When I saved the changes, the blog wouldn't load and I had to reload a fresh php file via FTP.

I have used the plugin before, but I have more control over how the pingbacks are displayed if I use the code.

Okay, I downloaded the plugin and it's working. I did edit it so it displays just the date and the title of the pingback, instead of the summary. I haven't figured out how to make it display beneath the comments, instead of above, but I can live with that.
