[SOLVED] How to create links in posts and pages
While I am writing a post and I want to give a link to an outside website, how do I do it?
In the bottom of each blog, this site has something called You may also like: and has other posts linked to it. How can I do the same? http://wanderingchopsticks.blogspot.com/ Also, I have a food blog and I created a page called Recipes. How do I give out links to my posts in the Recipes page? i.e. My Recipes page would have links to Shrimp Cocktail, Pizza etc. My blog is www.delicateflavors.com Thank you, |
wandering chopsticks use a widget called linkwithin at
http://www.linkwithin.com/learn?ref=widget I still need to know how to create links in my posts and Recipes page. :) |
You can create a link by adding this code to your post and filling it in.
HTML Code:
<a href="ADDRESS HERE">TEXT HERE</a> |
Hmmm. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I went into one of my post and put
<a href="http://www.xanhbistro.com//">Xanh Bistro</a> But it showed up as above and not a link to Xanh Bistro. ??? |
no slashs at end ie <a href="http://www.xanhbistro.com">Xanh Bistro</a>
|
It still doesn't work. I edited the post and put
<a href="http://www.xanhbistro.com">Xanh Bistro</a> and updated the post. The code just show up as above and did not work as a link. ??? |
The easiest way to add a link in a post or page is to highlight the text, then click the chain image (like this http://forum.bytesforall.com/images/...createlink.gif).

What Wimbledon said is really the easiest but yours is not working because you put the code in the visual editor. When you enter code like
<a href="http://www.xanhbistro.com//">Xanh Bistro</a> You have to use the HTML editor. |
Yay! I did it how Wimbleton said to do it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I did not know about the link symbol. :)
