"more" tag not working on some posts

"Continue reading" appears on only some posts, even though the post is truncated where the "more" break is inserted. On some posts, it is [replaced by [...] and on others, there is nothing.

This site was created about 3 years ago in another theme. At that time, "more" worked fine.

Strange, huh? Suggestions for cure are welcome.

Perhaps you were using a plugin that removed the [...] in some posts, I don't know. You could try re-creating the affected posts, i.e. going into edit mode and saving them again

Thanks for the response. As I go through the site, switching back and forth between your theme and Classic, I am deucing that the issues (plural) are not theme related. I think the last WP upgrade went awry. I am going to back up the content, clean out everything and rebuild the site.
