Which new WP3 features is Atahualpa taking advantage of?
 

I'm confused as to which new WordPress 3 functions and features are being utilized in the latest Atahualpa versions. I have been planning to use custom post and page templates, as well as custom field taxonomies, etc, but hadn't tried to implement them yet at the back end in Atahualpa. I now understand that those features are built in to WP3, so I have to ask: Is Atahualpa taking advantage of those features, or is it still doing things in its own way?

It would be nice if there were some sort of list of all these features with an explanation as to whether and how they align between WordPress and Atahualpa.

Sorry if my entire question is goofy; maybe I'm just not thinking about it correctly.

A quick answer is the Atahualpa 3.5.3 allows for the use of the new menu system and even gives you two menu locations. Custom post types is more for coders and plugin developers. You can do a search and find a few new custom post type plugins that let you utilize that functionality to some extent and I would suspect you will see more.
