'Read more' function won't work
 

Hi

I cannot get the 'Read More' tag to work even though I have used the 'more' function in my post. The post will show up to where I inserted 'more', but when you go to post in blog, there is nothing next to the end of the line that says 'Read More' or 'Continue Reading' even though I have customised it in the ATO.

How can I get this to work? Any help would be appreciated.

it is a big prob :

This fonction doesn't work at all when you use a index page with Excerpt..

and it is very strange... if i take out all cookies and i open my site as a new reader does... there is not

" ...continue reading" ( i have done correctly the <p>Continue reading <a href="%permalink%">%title%</a></p>) in configure Excerpt...

BUT if i open my admin pannel... then I ( it must be only me..) can see on the index the " ...continue reading"

I've try all kind of solution... it doesnt work...

1) Down load the attached file and unzip it.
2) rename your current 'functions.php', in the atahualpa folder, to 'functions_old.php'
3) copy the new 'functions.php' to your atahualpa folder
that's it'

~ if I download the attachment 'functions.php.zip' you supplied, and I am using Atahualpa 3.4.6, will this still work and more importantly, will it override any new features the functions.php has in this latest version?

Ive done it with the 3.4.6
It works perfect...

should work the same with 3.4.6

Still have the same problem with Read More... I've replaced functions.php and everything is OK now on Category but on my main page still NO read more after the post. Excerpts has been set to 0.

Some help will be appreciated

are you talking about EXCERPTS (ato->Configure EXCERPTS which will default to a [...])
or the 'Read More' (ato->"Read More" tag) which shows up it you put a <!--more--> in your post.

Make sure not to mix them

I'm talking about EXCERPTS. I've also disabled all plugins to make sure that the problem wasn't there. No change at all ?

you need to provide more details since I don't know anything about your site (even if I've previously helped you, I forget it all as soon as I look at the next thread), so explain - in detail - what your problem is, how your site is laid out, what versions you are using, what does your homepage displays, what is the url, exactly what options you have changed (use the ato->option group->option format to explain it)

The clearer your description the easier to give you some help.
