Once more: Overlay Blog Title/Tagline

Hello,

great theme and after years of some poor html coding of mine - this makes real fun now!
Kindly excuse me opening this problem once more - I already read a lot of threads, but none of them solved the problem - I haven't tried the edited js.php, indeed...

In Firefox blogtitle and tagline are displayed, in IE7 they are not.

Atahualapa 3.5.3
WP 3.0.4
All Java Script fading options are switched off ("0").

Do you have any suggestions how to figure out this problem.

Best regards,
Chris

does it work in IE8?

Why do you have float: left in the CSS?

Juggledad,

sorry for late reply, was very busy yesterday...
Just have to install IE8 on my VirtBox at home. Hope to get this done this week.

Thanks for your reply,
Chris

Imilesw,

guess you mean div.titleoverlay{...;float: left ;...}.
I don't know where it is set. There's no "float: left" in my ATO -> Add HTML/CSS Inserts

In the ATO -> "Header image"section the "Overlayed Blog Title/Tagline Style" options are:

margin-top: 10px;
margin-left: 10px;
width 100px;
background: #ffffff;
filter: alpha(opacity:.70);
-moz-opacity:.70;
opacity:.70;

and there's no "float: left" in the "Style and edit HEADER AREA".

Any place, where I can have a look on?

regards,
chris

Sorry... The float left is part of the theme code and isn't the problem anyway.

The syntax on the filter line is incorrect. It should be as follows.

HTML Code:

filter: alpha(opacity=70);

Imilesw,

the wrong "filter:" line was the cause. Now the title is overlayed in IE7, too.
Thanks a lot for youre "eagle's eye" ;-)

Is there another way than PayPal to donate?

Best regards,
Chris

On the Paypal donation page there is a link to use a credit card instead of a Paypal account. Or you could just send bags of gold or diamonds.
