[SOLVED] set the header image and favicon to an explicit file outside the theme folde

Is it possible to set the header image and favicon to an explicit file outside the theme folder? Ideally by setting some functions in the ATA theme settings. I don't want to worry about re-uploading these every time I upgrade the ATA theme.

Thanks,
Derek

at the moment, the only way would be to edit the theme code. It looks like WordPress is starting to allow themes to reference images stored in the media library so this may be a feature in a future release.

Too bad. Well, I hope to see something come of it in the future. If only an option was available to put a hard link, that would be nice. Obviously, editing the theme is more trouble during an upgrade than uploading the pics again, so I'll not do that.

Thanks,
Derek
