Moving code to improve SEO

Hello,

I am in the process of setting up a small website using Atahualpa, and am learning about SEO.
From what I understand, it's important to have the content of the page above things such as menu code so the web crawlers get the content.
Have had a look at the source code of my landing page and there is a section of code for the JQUERY which is 106 lines long (line 40-146).
I am looking to move this code to beneath the web page text, how do I do this?

I'm using Wordpress 2.9.2 & Atahualpa 3.4.6.

Sorry if this is the wrong Area to post this.

Thanks, Andrew

You will have to edit the theme and determine where to put it and move it there, then test it to see if it works without causing errors. You probably want to put it in footer.php

It is more important to have fresh original content that how yourpage is set up besides the algorithms may change tomorrow

I haven't really had much time to play around with this but, been on it for the last 2 hours with no luck.

I haven't been able to find the code to just copy paste it to the footer.php I didn't think it would be that easy to start with.

Is there sections of jquerry that have to move? or just one whole clump of code?

And with the edit the theme. Could you please explain in a bit more detail.

Thank You.

Ok, I just copied the whole Source code into a notepad and deleted the jquery code and saved it as a .html and loaded the site.

Worked fine, no errors or anything. Is the jquery really necessary? Can I just delete the whole jquery at all?

You could try making the jquery external - ato->Configure CSS & JS->Javascript: External file or inline?
