[SOLVED] Parent clickability disabling not working

HI I solved the main problems with the menus by updating as described in this thread:
http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=10341

In my menu I have various parent pages with sub-pages that drop down when you hover over the parent. In >Atahualpa Theme Options >Menu 1 I find this:

Quote:

Don't link first level parent items in Page Menu Bar?
Default: No
See red message above...Set this to No to replace the link target of first level parent items with <a href="#"> This will basically unlink the first level menu items that have children. The submenus drop down when pointing the mouse at the link, but clicking the link doesn't do anything. This is for users that want to organize their pages in main pages and sub pages but don't have content on the main pages. "Yes" means "Yes, don't link".
Setting that to "yes" does not unlink the parent pages.
Setting that to "no" does not unlink the parent pages.

Is there an issue with this, or another way of achieving the unlinking of parent pages?

What version of atahualpa and wp?
What is the URL?
Are you using the automatic Atahualpa menus or the new wordpress menus?

Hi thanks, it's Atahualpa 3.5.3 and Wordpress 3.01

I presume I am using WP menus located at >Dashboard >Appearance >Menus
as described here
http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=10341
because otherwise the dropdowns are not formatted correctly - the containing boxes are of variable width.

I can't publish the URL because the site won't be public until it is finished.

Hi Juggledadd that link was the solution, thanks.

This can now be marked Solved, but for info:

I had to insert the text to appear in the menu in uppercase, as it was not automatically uppercased, and I found that leaving the target url blank worked better than putting in # - that was generating urls like http:///# which popped up an annoying Javascript alert.
