[SOLVED] Home page will not load fully

Hi

As you may know I have been making some slight changes and somehow my home page does not load correctly now, all the posts and the right hand column do not show and it takes ages to load.

On the individual pages and posts it is fine on loading, I have changed all the settings back that I altered (I think).

It just seems strange, any help would be most appreciated.

Is there any checks I can make ?

Thanks

I will donate again.

jkfly4 Mar 24, 2012 04:25 AM

Hi

I havent messed with the code, it maybe some inserts ? but they are removed now

Thanks

the page loads, but firebug is showing a server error - looks like the http://www.raddays.com/xmlrpc.php file.

also, the number of images you have causes the site to load 943KB wich is almost a meg of data to send before looking at teh page

try disabling all plugins and see what happens

Hi

What are the main reasons for this, as it was working fine before the weekend, lots or a few.

I downloaded socialable plugin and got rid.
messed with the header/logo
added google +1
removed the page menu

Thanks for your help so far

Hi

Deactiviated all plugins one by one, it came on quick a couple of times but was still missing the side bars and posts.

Still not loading, or very slow.

Strange.

Any other tips, if you have time

Thanks

deactivate ALL plugins at the same time and see how it loads

also set your permalinks back ti=o the default. the several pages seem to be loading the home page

jkfly4 Mar 24, 2012 05:34 AM

Hi

It doesnt load, as before

Thanks

juggledad Mar 24, 2012 05:39 AM

1) did you set the permalink back to teh default?

2) set the number of posts to 1 (dashboard->settings->reading)

3) what do you have in the post-footer?

jkfly4 Mar 24, 2012 05:40 AM

Hi

No I thought about trying that.

I changed my permalinks about three weeks ago, but nothing changed then.

I will try that now.

Thanks

phpbay folder
what are you talking about?

jkfly4 Mar 24, 2012 05:56 AM

It is a plugin php bay

juggledad Mar 24, 2012 05:59 AM

1) deactivate ALL plugins and leave them deactivated till we find the issue
2) set the permalinks to the default and leave them at the default till we find the issue
3) swap to twenty-ten and see if the issue exists

GO TO ATO->Edit POST/PAGE INFO ITEMS->FOOTER: Homepage and add a '%' at the end so it reads
HTML Code:

%date('F jS, Y')% | %tags-linked('Tags: ', ', ', ' | ')% Category: %categories-linked(', ')% | %comments('Leave a comment', 'One comment', '% comments', 'Comments are closed')% %edit(' | ', 'Edit this post', '')%
