Sidebar Background Opacity
 

How do I set opacity for the sidebar background? I am able to set opacity for the entire sidebar, but I would like it for the background only so as not to impact the text or other items in the sidebar.

From what I'm reading, this would be tricky (see https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Use...and_Background)

Have you tried just using a lighter color of your background, i.e. if your background is red, use a pale pink for the sidebar background? It's a hack, but might suffice

The solid color wouldn't work because I wanted an image to slightly show through. Looks like I can't apply opacity to only the sidebar background. It was worth a shot. Thxs.
