can't get comments footer to work
 

Hi there,
On most of the post on my site, I have commenting turned off. As a result, the default message, "Comments are closed" shows up. This happens even when I remove all items from the footer section of Post/Page Info items. In fact, no options/choices seem to work for me there.

What I would like to get working is:
%comments('Comments', 'Comments (1)', 'Comments (%)', 'dontshow')%
