[SOLVED] How can I change the number of posts on home page?

I changed the number in Wordpress > Reading to max number of posts to 3, but for some reason 6 posts are showing on the home page. Is there something in the theme that is overriding that setting?

no, nothing in the theme over rides that setting. Go review it and make sure you changed it - I've been (way too often) known to make a change and then forget to hit the update button (grin)

Nope, I changed it several times. The strange thing is that I have another blog that uses this theme. The setting in WP > Reading is at 10, but somehow (I can't remember how!!) I changed it to only show 2 posts in the home page... so there MUST be something in the theme or CSS code somewhere else?? Any one have any ideas?

swap our theme to the default twenty ten and see if you still get the same number of posts
also check your plugins to see if any mess with the posts.

Strange... it must be something in the theme. When I change themes it fixes that problem and the other problem I have.... http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=11492

???

Also, as I mentioned, on my other blog, lovemusings.com, I have the WP settings at 10, but only 2 posts show on Home Page. I looked in THAT themese set up, but could not figure out what was different.

This is confusing! I hope you can help!

Thanks!

the plugin 'cbnet Different Posts Per Page' was causing this problem

Thanks! Actually it wasn't this plugin since I added that after the problem started.... it works now with that plugin, must have been the scrolling comments plugin! Thanks!!
