Cannot get to the file directory to put in my header image
Hello
I have the bytesforall theme. love it, but I can't get to the directory of images to put in my custom header. The only lead I have is this directory. /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/ when I put it in front of the admin url http://humanresourcefullness.com/wp-...images/header/ i get forbidden or cant' find page. Can someone please give me the correct url to upload my custom header image to? thanks so much |
are you using the 'bytesforall' theme or the 'atahualpa' theme?
if you are using the 'bytesforall' theme, look at the readme section titled 'OWN HEADER IMAGE:' |
Thank you so much for replying. I've been tearing out my hair over this today.
It is bytesforall The only read me text I can find is in the options text under header image. It says: Header Images All header images are located in /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/. All images in that directory will be rotated. If you don't want rotating header images, leave only one image in that directory. I'm unable to find where these images are, how to add mine to it or even just a place to upload mine. I just looked again and did a search and can't find the READ ME File you are talking about. |
ok, something does not jive. You say you are using the 'bytesforall' theme, but the site youreference in your first post - http://humanresourcefullness.com/ - is using the Atahualpa theme.
1) which theme are you using? go to dashboard->appearances->Themes and tell me which is active 2) to add images to the image/header folder, you must use a FTP program to upload them to the server - this is not a WordPress or theme function |
I know that questions was posted a couple years ago, but I have the same question. I have the atahualpa theme, and I want to change the header picture, or delete two of them, so that each page has the same header. In Atahualpa Theme Options, it says this:
All header images are located in /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/. All images in that directory will be rotated. If you don't want rotating header images, leave only one image in that directory. I know this is probably a really stupid question... but how do I get to this folder? Do I need a special program? Do I type it behind another website address? If so, which one? I found another post that said I need to go to my host (hostgator) but I still don't know how to get to this folder. Thanks so much, Annelies |
